Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment vs Covergirl Oh Sugar lip balm

I have been a big fan for Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment.  The first encounter was a Sephora birthday gift.  And then somehow somewhat I now have a collection of it. :)

And lately there is a a talk about Covergirl's Oh Sugar lip balm and that it is the dupe.  So I thought I would do a mini compare between the 2, as I got a few of the Oh Sugar as well. :)

A lot of people said they smell exactly the same.  Since my sense of smell is not reliable, I will not comment on that.  But most of the time I don't care for any scents at all.  Unless the scent actually have a positive function, otherwise I don't care for it.

Fresh is definitely way more expensive.  At around $24 a tube, it is a fancy high end product.  Covergirl is much more affordable.  I think it's well under $10.  Usually around $8?  Depends on where you get yours.

Fresh win in the category.  It is in some sort of metal screw on lipstick tube and the tube is the actual color of the product.  The product itself is flat topped.  Covergirl is in plastic regular lip stick packaging with the top showing the actual color of the product as well.  The product itself is your traditional lipstick.  I remember my first impression was that "it looked plastic".  LOL.

Color choice and pigmentation.
Fresh has 13 colors (not including the clear).  Covergirl has 10 colors.
Fresh definitely wins in the pigmentation department for. Some of their colors are very pigmented (cherry, berry, coral... to name a few) while a few of them are quite sheer (eg:  Rose, Plum).  The ones I have from Covergirl are all sheer.

Fresh is much more thicker.  And it can be "melty".  I have 2 (sample size) tubes broken on me.  The key is to not twist up too much during summer and do not leave them in hot places (eg:  car).  Covergirl is much thinner.

Fresh has SPF 15, while Covergirl does not offer that.
